
EJEPL Youth Division Playoff Preview
The EJEPL is gearing up to wrap up its season with the Youth Playoffs, scheduled for February 7-9, 2025. Every team will need to give their best performance to make it to the finals and compete for the championship title. After battling through 16 games this season, each team has earned their place and is ready for the playoff challenge.
10U Diamond
10U Diamond teams will be competing at Iceworks in Aston, PA with two semifinals, first with Cranford Hockey Club against the Loudoun Knights and then with Genesis Hockey Club against the Long Island Gulls. The winner of each will meet up for the championship game while the others will compete for the bronze.
10U Futures Gold 1
At the Ice Palace in Brick, NJ, eight 10U Futures Gold 1 teams will face off in the quarterfinals to secure their spots in the semifinals and finals. Here are the matchups: Ridgefield Lions versus Long Island Kings - Triolo; Genesis Hockey Club - Ruina versus Wonderland Wizards; Howard Huskies versus Capitals Academy; and Metro Militia versus Princeton Jr. Tigers. This division is packed and is set to be a fun filled weekend of playoff hockey.
10U Futures Gold 2
The Peconic Wildcats will take on the Nutley Clifton Horse Pirates in the first semifinals matchup while the Long Island Gulls take on the Northwest Icehawks in the other semifinal at Iceworks in Aston, PA. The winners of each matchup will advance to the championship game, while the remaining teams will compete for the bronze.
10U Futures Silver 1
10U Futures Silver 1 top seeds Long Beach Lightning - Florio and Hershey Jr. Bears have earned a first-round bye and will watch on as the other teams in the division compete in the quarterfinals to see who makes their way to the semifinals at Middletown Sports Complex in Middletown, NJ. In the first of the two quarterfinal matchups, we have North Park Youth Hockey facing off against the Loudoun Knights and in the second matchup, we have the Baltimore Stars against Easton Icehawks. The two winners will each secure their spot in the semifinals against the top two seeds, where they'll battle for a chance to ultimately reach the championship, while the other two teams will compete for the bronze for the division.
10U Futures Silver 2
At Iceworks in Aston, PA the top four teams in the division will kick things off in the semifinal round. Long Beach Lightning - Deacon will face off against the Pelham Pelicans - Coughlin while the Metro Militia go up against the New Jersey Titans - Bird. The winners will advance to the finals so the stage is set and the teams are ready to bring their ‘A’ game.
12U Diamond
The top seeds in the 12U Diamond division, Yale Youth Hockey and Genesis Hockey Club, have earned a first-round bye, automatically securing their spots in the semifinals where they will await their opponents at Iceworks in Aston, PA. Who they play will be determined by the outcomes of the quarterfinals where we will see the Nassau County Lions versus the Ridgefield Lions and Capitals Academy versus the Princeton Jr. Tigers. The quarterfinal winners each advance to the semis earning their spot to play against the top two seeds. The stakes are high in the 12U Diamond division!
12U Futures Gold 1
At Middletown Sports Complex in Middletown, NJ the Wonderland Wizards and Metro Militia are resting up during quarterfinals as they earned a bye to the semis by finishing as the top two seeds in the division. The Long Beach Lightning will play against the New York Stars and the Long Island Kings will play against the Montclair Blues in the quarterfinals to set the stage for the rest of the playoff matchups.
12U Futures Gold 2
Two quarterfinal games are set in Iceworks in Aston, PA where the Loudoun Knights will play the Hershey Jr. Bears - Burger and Cranford Youth Hockey will play Yale Youth Hockey. The winners of each of these will face off against either the Montclair Blues - Baresich or the Flyers Youth who finished at the top of the division and have automatically advanced to the semis. This division is packed with competitive teams who are ready to battle it out for the championship.
12U Futures Silver 1
Eight teams have high playoff hopes as they are set to compete in the quarters at The Ice Palace in Brick, NJ. The matchups are set: Nassau County Lions against the Peconic Wildcats; Loudoun Knights against the Long Island Enforcers; Long Island Edge against the Pelham Pelicans - Reinhart; and the Jersey Wolves - Lilien 2 against North Park Youth Hockey. Each team is fighting for a win to keep their playoff run going to ultimately make it to the finals.
12U Futures Silver 2
At Iceworks in Aston, PA, the Hershey Jr. Bears - Esser and the Prinecton Jr. Tigers - Henderson are closely watching the quarterfinals as they finished as the top two seeds therefore automatically earning their semifinal playoff spot. Who they will face will depend upon the winners of each game: the New York Stars versus Genesis Hockey Club - Malik and the Howard Huskies - Stock versus the Long Island Sharks - Pierkarski. The teams are ready to go head-to-head in a battle for the championship.
13U Diamond
13U Diamond will kickoff the playoff weekend in a three-game series to see who takes it all! At Middletown Sports Complex in Middletown, NJ the Nassau County Lions and the Montclair Blues will battle it out in a best of three game series to see who comes out on top of the division.
14U Diamond
With the Long Island Edge and Capitals Academy earning first-round byes, they’ll be watching closely as the quarterfinal matchups unfold at Iceworks in Aston, PA. First up, we will see the Long Beach Lightning take on the Genesis Hockey Club and next up, the Princeton Jr. Tigers against the Loudoun Knights. This division is sure to be competitive as they all battle it out to reach the championship.
14U Futures Gold
This division is packed with competition requiring a play-in game by Hampton Roads Youth Hockey against Snider Hockey to see who will earn the remaining slot to compete in the quarterfinals. At Iceworks in Aston, PA this division will see four quaterfinal matchups to set the stage for the rest of the playoff run. The Long Island Gulls will play the Junior Bulldogs, the winner of the play-in game will play the Wonderland Wizards, the Ridgefield Lions will play the Northwest Icehawks and Metro Militia will play the Central Penn Panthers. With so many talented teams, this division is primed for an intense fight to the finals.
14U Futures Silver 1
This is another division packed with competition as they kickoff with four quarterfinal games at Middletown Sports Complex in Middletown, NJ. The matchups are set: Baltimore Stars versus Delco Phantoms - Jung; West Point Junior Black Knights versus Long Beach Lightning; New Jersey Titans versus Cranford Youth Hockey; and Bowie Bruins versus Peconic Wildcats - Ierna. The division is stacked and will surely be an existing weekend to see who finds themselves the champions.
14U Futures Silver 2
Top seeds Carolina Thunder and Ramapo Saints - Jennings have earned themselves a first-round bye and will watch on to see who wins the quarterfinals at Iceworks in Aston, PA. Competing in those quarters to earn their spot to face the top seeds are the Long Island Enforcers against the Easton Icehawks and Genesis Hockey Club - Malik against the Ramapo Saints - Tuttle.
The games are set for the Youth Playoffs in what should be an existing and competitive weekend of hockey. With everything on the line, each team is determined to fight for the ultimate prize—the EJEPL Championship for the 2024-2025 season.
