OVERTIME PROCEDURES
EJEPL OVERTIME PROCEDURES
· If the score is tied at the end of regulation, a (1) minute break on the clock.
· Teams do not change ends in OT
· The 1st OT will be 4 X 4 for (5) minutes. This will be a stop time period.
· If the score is still tied at the end of the 1st OT, (1) minute will be put on the clock and run for intermission.
· Teams will play OT # 2, also (5) minutes stop time, but it will be 3 X 3.
· If there is a penalty in the 3 X 3 OT, the power play team will play 4 X 3 until the penalty is over. On the first whistle after the penalty, teams will revert to 3 X 3. If there is a two man advantage the power play team will play 5 on 3 until the first penalty ends. Then it will be 5 X 4 until the first whistler where it will go to 4 X 3 until the 2nd penalty is over, after a whistle it will go to 3 X 3 again. There can never be less than 3 players on the ice for a specific team.
· If the score is still tied after the 2nd OT, the game ends in a tie. There are no shootouts in the EJEPL.
· All penalties carry over from regulation to the OT, and from the 1st OT to the 2nd OT.
· Each overtime period is sudden death meaning the first team that scores, wins.
